Biography Of Fat Tony

Fat Tony grew up in a small town outside of New Orleans where he realized his passions for BMX, art, and photography at an early age. Always driven and motivated to achieve the best in life, he went to college to get a degree in art. During his stay at Louisiana State University, his love for BMX got the best of him when he suffered a severe head injury that nearly cost him his life. Never letting anything stop him, Fat continued through college where he helped build the Louisiana BMX community through louisianabmx.com and the Transitions BMX and music jam, an internationally recognized grassroots event. While working with various other BMX magazines across the world, and just before graduating college, Fat secured his dream job at Ride BMX Magazine in California.

Today Fat Tony provides the BMX community with daily news and content as the online editor of the world’s leading BMX web site, ridebmx.com. Fat travels the globe and creatively documents the freestyle culture he knows so well and continues to run Fat Tony Enterprise in order to further aid those around him.

Although he is a member of the media himself, Fat is no stranger to being on the other side of the camera. He was featured on MTV’s “Scarred” where he told the compelling story of fracturing his skull, he was also on MTV's "Scarred Live" where he recreated the stunt that originially injured him, and he has been showcased in the Louisiana-based publication 225 for his achievements. Fat enjoys traveling to schools, speaking to children about career choices, setting goals, perseverance, and more. Even with such a fulfilling life, Fat is always looking for more in the form of traveling, learning, growing, and helping others.
